There was a short film created several years ago that should strongly resonate with the predicament we find ourselves in today. Based on a true story, it poignantly demonstrates how we need to treat fellow Jews favorably above all differences:
Whether religious or secular, liberal or conservative, man or woman, Mizrachi or Sephardi or Ashkenazi, rich or poor, black or white, Israeli Jew or Diaspora Jew—the list is almost endless—we are one. Given the rise in antisemitism worldwide, it shouldn’t be too difficult to take this to heart. In the future, let’s learn this the easy way instead of having our enemies scream it in our ears. If we strive to connect as brothers and sisters, we will fulfill our role in the world and all the haters will disperse. If not, the incitement against us will continue until we achieve the same end. One way or another, Jewish unity is destined to happen. As our sages throughout the ages have taught us, this is what God seeks from His children more than anything else.
